Greg Straw is a renowned South African landscape architect and horticulturist, known for his innovative and environmentally conscious designs. With a National Diploma in Horticulture and a B.Tech in Landscape Architecture, he has led high-profile projects both locally and internationally, including the design of Nelson Mandela’s memorial gardens in Qunu and Houghton.

Straw’s work spans countries such as Israel, Jordan, Seychelles, and Costa Rica, reflecting his global perspective. In 2013, he founded the Fourways Farmers Market, now Johannesburg’s largest, located in the Modderfontein Nature Reserve. His design philosophy focuses on sustainability, ecological restoration, and blending natural elements with built environments.

Currently at Blaauwklippen, Straw oversees the estate’s landscaping and Family Market, continuing to bring his visionary touch to every aspect of the property.
