Mika, the head winemaker at Neethlingshof, grew up in Hermanus and completed her BSc Agric in Viticulture and Oenology in 2019 at Stellenbosch University.
Mika is passionate about winemaking, sustainability, and conservation and loves working with different cultivars and learning new skills. In the past Mika has spent time working in Australia, Rupert & Rothschild, and Benguela Cove before joining Neethlingshof Estate at the end of 2020.
In 2024, Mika made WineLand Media's 30 Under 30 list – a list of 30 young professionals recognised for their contributions to the South African wine industry.
