My name is Yolani Kaso, living in Kayamandi Stellenbosch. I am a recent graduate of the Pinotage Youth Development Academy (PYDA) 2016/17 the 4th generation.
PYDA gave me the platform to discover who I am, what my purpose in life is and where I am heading.
I am young, energetic, target driven, honest and reliable person. I am able to work under pressure, highly motivated and responsible.
During the time at the academy I have grown in my understanding of the wine industry and gained technical skills, wine-making, sensory evaluation, vineyard production, personal development digital marketing and WSET Level 2.
I am currently working as an assistant for Ntsiki Biyela in her wine company Aslina wines. I love and enjoy working under her, am learning and growing in the position. I am enjoying the wine industry.
I am delighted also to have participated in the 2017 South African Wine Tasting Championships for the first time.
