I’m hugely passionate about our hospitality industry. I studied professional cookery at Capsicum Culinary Studio.
I was awarded the title of Barista of the Year in the 2021 Reaching for Young Stars competition, and since won the love of wine!
My goal for the future is to open my own restaurant and focus on upskilling the youth in the industry and providing jobs. I love sharing knowledge and to continuously learn - I’m currently learning about management and need to understand all aspects of business. I’d like to share my knowledge and show the inclusiveness of the hospitality industry.
British celebrity chef, Gordon Ramsay, inspires me. His journey wasn’t an easy one. I can relate to his background. He makes me believe that everything is possible with a touch of effort.
I’m currently reading Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon Lechter.
I loved visiting Nederburg in Paarl and the Three Ships Distillery in Wellington during the Grape to Glass training week. Their rich history and the delicious flavours of their products impressed me.
