Kleine Zalze White Zed

Strong lime, flinty, slightly tropical aromas shows on the nose and are complemented with a smooth clean crisp aftertaste. The light well balanced wine can be enjoyed at any occasion.

The White Zed is a daily, easy drinking white wine, which can be enjoyed with seafood dishes like trout, steamed or grilled fish. The wine is also complimented by chargrilled chicken, sweet and sour chicken, mild curries and cold meats like ham or gammon.

in the vineyard : Bush vine Chenin Blanc grapes were harvested at optimum fruit ripe levels to ensure a wine with elegant fruit flavours. The grapes were planted on deep red soils with a superb water retension. This leads to a good root development which supply the vines with optimum moisture during the summer ripening period.
about the harvest: The grapes were harvested between 22 – 23º Balling early in the morning and immediately cooled down to 12ºC.
in the cellar : Extended skin contact followed. After good settling the wine was cold fermented and left on the lees for two months before filtration and bottling.
