Teresa Dorrington is originally from the Tulbagh valley. After finishing her schooling at Paarl Gym, she finished her B.Comm degree at Stellenbosch University.
Joining Rijk's in 2002, she started with wine tastings and computer accounting. Today she manages admin, accounts and finance and Rijk's Wine Estate and Hotel.
In her free time she loves relaxing on the beach at Langebaan, reading on her iPad, playing tennis, enjoying friends, and Champagne. She has been the driving force insisting Rijk's should produce their first bottle-fermented bubbly, made according to the traditional time honoured Cap Classique method, which will be released in 2014!
