Upon her return to South Africa, she worked as winemaker at a small cellar in Franschhoek, before joining Seidelberg Wine Estate in Paarl in 2002 as assistant winemaker.
Cerina spent spring 2003 in California, working the vintage at Alexander Valley Vineyards in Sonoma. Thereafter, for the next 7 years, she was responsible for winemaking at Seidelberg.
