Elouise Kotze

Elsenburg Student

My name Is Elouise Kotze. I grew up in Brackenfell.

I do not come from a winemaking family at all. Going to a school outing in first grade to J.C. Le Roux was the first time the winemaking process tickled my fancy. I finally decided to become a winemaker after doing a two day job shadowing project at Hazendal wine estate with Ronell Wiid. I knew from that point forward that winemaking is what I want to do for the rest of my life.

I continued to follow my passion after school where I worked for two years at Hartenberg Wine Estate with Carl Schultz. In 2014 I was rewarded a study bursary from the Cape Winemakers Guild and will be finishing my studies this year at Elsenburg.
