Natasha Williams grew up in the small town of Saron, nestled in the Tulbagh mountains, which nurtured a deep love for nature. While studying molecular biology at Stellenbosch University, she became curious about wine in her second year. She switched over to winemaking and graduated with a degree in Oenology.
After completing a six-month internship at Jordan Winery, she joined the Bosman Family Vineyards winemaking team in 2014. While working there, she completed a harvest in California, and furthered her studies through the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) after receiving a International Wine Challenge scholarship.
A few years in, she launched her own wine brand, Lelie van Saron. The name, which translates to "Lily from the town of Saron," pays homage to her upbringing and a childhood nickname.
After six vintages, in June 2023, Natasha left Bosman to become the head winemaker at Hasher Family Wines in the Upper-Hemel-en-Aarde Valley.
