Tinashe Musora works as a tasting room ambassador and sommelier at Creation Wines, Hemel-en-Aarde.

Born in Zimbabwe, Tinashe grew up in Hemel-en-Aarde and joined Creation straight after high school as a runner clearing tables. His drive, determination and relentless pursuit of excellence soon saw him become a tasting room assistant, and today he is a sommelier.

In February 2024, he was awarded a Gérard Basset Foundation WSET Diploma in Wines Bursary – the first time a bursary has been awarded for the Wine and Spirit Education Trust’s flagship Level 4 Diploma in Wines. He passed the Michael Fridjhon Wine Judging Academy course in May of the same year

In June 2024, Tinashe made WineLand Media's 30 Under 30 list of 30 young professionals recognised for their contributions to the South African wine industry. He was also awarded the inaugural Luminary Award, which was bestowed upon one exceptional individual whose influence and achievements transcend excellence.

Tinashe says he is "super-excited" to have won the Luminary Award, and that he is determined to keep giving back to his community. "I want to share the same light and knowledge that was given to me when I was still a novice and knew nothing about wine. I am going to keep imparting information and knowledge to others, helping them better understand and appreciate wine."
