History
The history of the estate and its owners is rich and colourful. In 1691, Laborie was granted to French Huguenot Isaac Taillefert who together with his son, Jean Taillefert, was producing a drinkable wine within 7 years. With their knowledge of French viticultural techniques, the Taillefert family laid a solid foundation of vineyards and outstanding wine production that is evident, over three hundred years later, in Laborie’s wines of distinction.
