This official coat of arms bears an eagle, around which the Swartland logo has been created. Swartland Winery reduced the council's emblem and had it incorporated into a specially designed eagle where it forms a part of the large eagle's breast plate.

The winery chose to adopt this coat of arms as testimony to the cultivation of grapes and the production of Swartland Wines in the Malmesbury region.
