CREATING WINES FOR ENTHUSIASTS

Set like a jewel in the golden triangle of South Africa's winelands, the vineyards of Lyngrove Wine Estate are the highly-prized source of the grapes that produce export-quality wines enjoyed by connoisseurs around the world.

With sweeping vistas of Table Mountain and False Bay, Lyngrove wines reflect nature's advantage of superior soils, gentle slopes and the perfect micro-climates for slowly ripening grapes with concentrated flavours, all under the cooling influence of breezes from the nearby Atlantic Ocean.

One of the outstanding success stories of South African wine over the last decade, Lyngrove wines are sought after by consumers from Belgium, Germany and Norway to the United Kingdom and the USA. One of the Cape's top-selling wine brands in the Netherlands, Lyngrove wines are a leading example of the vibrant, new-world style of wine-making at the Cape that has captured the imagination of wine-lovers worldwide.

Lyngrove has undergone a complete transformation under Baarsma's Holding BV, a leading international wine company based in Holland that acquired the estate in 1996. After extensive research, they replanted 60% of 80 hectares of vines with the best new clones meticulously matched to the soils. Keeping abreast of the latest trends in the global wine trade, the far-sighted owners have introduced state-of-the-art production methods - all carefully monitored on a daily basis under the watchful eye Hannes Louw and Danielle le Roux, award-winning winemakers and viticulturalist, John Fullard, based at Lyngrove.
