Our Range of Unique Wines

Durbanville Hills winery draws its grapes from a group of neighbouring historic farms, mostly established at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries.

This range of three wines has been harvested from specific vineyards identified for their inimitable quality and characteristics. They age beautifully and are only produced in years when outstanding vintage conditions prevail, assuring you of pure excellence in every sip.

Biesjes Craal Sauvignon Blanc
The wine is a well-balanced combination of fruity green pepper, gooseberry and asparagus flavours with a crisp and fresh tropical fruit finish. Enjoy Biesjes Craal Sauvignon Blanc on its own, slightly chilled or served with seafood and pasta dishes.

Luipaardsberg Merlot
The Luipaardsberg Merlot displays typical cool climate flavours of mint, dark chocolate, coconut ice and oak spices laced by sweet cherries and berry flavours. This red wine is an ideal partner to osso bucco and other veal and red meat casseroles.

Caapmans Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot
This wine boasts cedar, black berries and blackcurrant flavours balanced with mocha and dark chocolate. The winemaker recommends allowing this wine to age to reach its full potential. Enjoy the Caapmans Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot with robust red meat and game dishes.

The reserve range, named after the indigenous Renosterveld of the area, is cleverly produced by combining no more than two to three vineyard blocks, often from opposite hillsides, allowing combinations of fruit from different mesoclimates; creating great depth and character.

Rhinofields Chardonnay
This full-bodied creamy wine holds aromas of citrus fruit and dried apricots balanced by delicate oak vanillins in the background. Enjoy this wine on its own, slightly chilled or with richly flavoured and creamy dishes.

Rhinofields Sauvignon Blanc
Bright with green tinges, the wine displays tropical fruit flavours balanced by grassy and gooseberry notes. Full-bodied with intense flavours of pineapple, melon and green apple with a crisp acidity and a long aftertaste. A robust wine, it stands up well to a variety of dishes from pastas to fish, poultry, pork and veal.

Rhinofields Merlot
Dark ruby in colour, the wine displays aromas of berry fruit with hints of mint and oak, complemented by tastes of prunes and oak spices. This Merlot is the ideal partner for robust dishes made from game, poultry, venison and red meats.

Made from healthy grapes from member farms, these wines have the balanced, flavourful finesse that comes from our inemakers' great selection and blending to bring you fresh, enticing tastes that suit contemporary palates.
