The Owner
Alain Moueix comes from a family who has specialised in high quality red wines in France for over 70 years. Having graduated from the Toulouse University, he gained valuable experience working at Kumeu River Wines in New Zealand. Alain today is the co-owner and manager of Chateau Fonroque (St Emilion Grand Cru Classé) and the director of Chateau Mazeyres (Pomerol). In developing Ingwe, Alain is committed to understanding the capacity of each vine to produce optimum flavour.

The Viticulturist
Francois Baard trained at the South African Wine Research Institute at Stellenbosch and has since worked in some of the country's leading wine regions, including Constantia and Stellenbosch. He manages the Ingwe estate on a day-to-day basis and applies his professional skills to nuture the vines to yield grapes of the utmost quality and flavour.

The Winemaker
Young Winemaker, PJ Geyer is an adventurer too, and passionate: (Moueix hired him because “he talked about making wine with sensitivity, not from a recipe”. He gained his winemaking skills in both new world (the USA and New Zealand) and old world (Pomerol, France) cellars. He joined Ingwe in 2002 and is dedicated to capturing the fine flavours of the grapes in the wine and blending each wine to perfection.
