The Simonsig Experience

Discover a beautiful and unique experience of all the senses.

In 1971 Stellenbosch became the first wine region in South Africa to establish a wine route as an organised network of wineries at which tourists could experience the product of the vine and tune into the soul of the region’s winelands.

Cuvée Restaurant
A feast of good taste
Cuvée, our signature restaurant, will have you captivated with its quirky mix of nostalgia and Cape Dutch modernism. Experience sincere hospitality and uncomplicated dishes with a sustainable conscience from our locally inspired, seasonal menu, either inside or on the terrace, with a perfect view of the majestic Simonsberg Mountain.

A picturesque setting, perfect for hosting unforgettable events, wedding ceremonies and receptions, or the Van Niekerk Room, a stylish, private lounge, ideal for private events with a separate business conferencing room, accommodating up to 30 guests.

Wine Tasting
Discover our award winning wines and learn from our knowledgeable team at our tasting room, set amidst the tranquil gardens on the Simonsig Estate.
With a cosy fire crackling in the tasting room during winter or flutes of chilled Kaapse Vonkel served on the cool, shady veranda during summer, we welcome our visitors to enjoy our wine tasting all-year round.

Cellar Tours
Get the inside story of how Simonsig wines are made: From the annual harvesting – usually in January – to the crushing of the grapes, the fermentation process, the stabilization of the white wines and the barrel maturation of the reds.
A Simonsig Cellar Tour is an authentic and memorable experience – learn first-hand how your favourite wines are crafted, from grape to bottle. (Bookings are advised/essential.)

The Labyrinth
The Cabernet Sauvignon Labyrinth is the world’s first labyrinth vineyard, a haven for people of all beliefs to reflect, meditate, pray or simply to experience their own inner quiet space while walking its paths.
The mystery of the labyrinth is in the different effect it has on every person – it is an outward symbol for an inner journey. Walking the labyrinth is to bring back peace and spiritual awareness in our busy, modern lives.
