Durbanville Hills Collectors Reserve The Castle of Good Hope Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 is a deep purple-coloured red wine with red edges. On the nose, there is a bouquet of ripe dark and red fruits such as fleshy plums with hints of vanilla and pencil shavings. On the palate, it's an elegant, full-bodied wine with velvety ripe tannins, a subtle touch of fruit cake, and a mouth-filling aftertaste.

The character is expectedly somewhat  “wild” a little brambly with hints of nutmeg, cinnamon, dark spices, with vanilla scents and a distinct, concentrated red-fruit focus. Great for laying down and keeping for at least ten years but already rewarding if allowed to breathe in a decanter.

Amber with a burgundy undertone. Mulberries, vanilla, glazed cherries and dried fruit with cinnamon, cedar wood and mint in the background. Raspberries and cherry fruit cake, milky chocolate, vanilla and subtle hints of thyme. Smooth and full bodied with lingering fruit and well integrated oak.
