Waterford Old Vine Project Chenin Blanc 2024

Aromas of ripe yellow fruits, honeydew melon, and honey take centre stage, while a delicate hint of pink peppercorn adds intrigue. The fruit-driven character on the nose seamlessly follows through to the palate, offering concentration and richness - a hallmark of the warmer vintage. The texture is round and waxy, supported by vibrant, broad acidity that brings balance. A pithy grapefruit rind note adds complexity, leading to a refined bittersweet grapefruit finish. The well-integrated acidity enhances the wine’s structure, creating a layered profile unique to older vineyards. The body is harmonious, showcasing the synergy between vineyard and winemaking.

Evolution after 5 years
The wine’s aroma will begin to reveal nutty, almost honeyed sweetness, supported by the distinctive Chenin blanc fruit notes on the nose. Meanwhile, the palate retains its richness in terms of texture and minerality. The ageing of our Old Vine Project Chenin blanc enriches the wine, enhancing its fullness and complexity over time.

Kleine Zalze Family Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

An intense bouquet that shows savoury tobacco notes along with liquorice and mint with a deep core of black plum and cassis. The palate shows a density and depth of flavor only found in the best vintages. An opulent entry of the dark fruit seen on the nose gives way to vibrant back palate with a refreshing acidity. Despite the wine’s ‘broad shoulders’ it maintains a svelte structure and almost never ending finish. A brilliant example of how great Stellenbosch Cabernet can be, highlighting the perfect balance between new-world opulence and old-world elegance.

Merlot and Cabernet Franc form a classic combination, as found in some of the world’s most celebrated wines. The Shiraz contributes elegance to the palate, while a small percentage of Petit Verdot adds color, spice, and complexity to the blend. Aromas of black berries and plums are dominant, with subtle sweet notes of fruitcake and dark toffee in the background. Cloves and integrated roasted oak notes are also present. The palate is medium-bodied with soft, lively tannins and a lingering berry finish.

Salmon pink to onion skin in colour this rosé is typical Mediterranean in appearance. Slightly restrained but welldefined melon, grapefruit, and nectarine on the nose with a hint of sweet candy floss in the young wine. The palate is polished and juicy on entry with the medium acidity bringing freshness and length. A fresh nectarine aftertaste lingers on the palate.
