A modern interpretation of Burgundy’s best. Bursts of fresh red fruits, grapefruit, with tropical-like aromas on the nose beautifully complemented by delicious pomegranate aromas nuances. A lively combination of acidity and fruitiness make for a fresh mouthfeel. The palate reveals fresh citrusy grapefruit and red-fruit flavours of cranberry and pomegranate.

Groote Post The Inheritance Merlot 2021

This 100% Merlot is a vibrant garnet red with a complex nose of ripe, red berry fruit. Cherries and raspberries are dominant on the nose, followed by an alluring hint of floral notes, vanilla, spice, and cedar notes. The nose follows through on the palate with bright red fruit followed by spice, forest floor and vanilla flavours. This medium-bodied wine was matured for 15 months in first-fill French oak barrels and has firm, yet refined tannins and a long, lingering aftertaste.

Nederburg Double Barrel Reserve 2023

Think about meeting someone for the first time - and they shake your hand a little too firmly. That’s what this wine is like when it hits the tastebuds: bold, forthright with a solid muscular squeeze. Nothing is overplayed though, because there is more than enough rich, ripe, succulent fruit to counteract that power and structure from its oaking. Blueberry, blackberry, juicy cherries and then dried herbs, cocoa darkness and vibrant spice - all balance out the tannin and firm frame. Long and rewarding, it’ll do for a Tuesday night casual supper or a more serious dinner.

The Raka Pinotage presents itself with a deep ruby hue and purple rim. Aromas of dark fruit, blackcurrant, and red cherry burst forth, intertwined with sweet spices, cinnamon, and hints of banana. The palate is met with luscious, ripe fruit, complemented by subtle vanilla and spicy oak nuances. Polished tannins provide structure, while a balanced acidity ensures a refreshing finish. As the wine lingers, flavors of juicy plum, blackberry, and dusty earthy notes leave a lasting impression.
