Chamonix Greywacke Pinotage 2022

The Greywacke Pinotage has a deep garnet red colour with tinges of dark violet when young. The bouquet is complex with scents recalling wild berries, spice and cherries. On the palate the wine shows full body and rich dark chocolate with fruit flavours, balanced elegantly by tannins, with a long and lingering finish that reveals a sweetness reminiscent of liquorice.

Sourced from carefully selected vineyards in Paarl and Stellenbosch, the 2025 vintage opens with a captivating and layered bouquet. Ripe tropical fruit, pineapple, litchi and yellow peach mingle effortlessly with delicate notes of apricot and pear. With subtle hints of sweet spice, violet florals, and vanilla oak, the palate is rich and full-bodied. Creamy nuances of vanilla and almond are complemented by citrus, peach, and pear to retain an elegant freshness. The lingering finish is underpinned by a vibrant, well-defined acidity and refined oak influence.

Durbanville Hills Merlot Rosé 2025

Colour: Coral pink
Nose: A fuller styled rosé with a bouquet of rose petals, candy floss, strawberries and fresh nectarines. Subtle hints of guava fruit roll are complimented by cranberry notes.
Taste: The aromas carry through to the fruit- forward palate with prominent nectarines, Turkish delight, rose and lingering red berries.  The wine is full and well-rounded width a balance acidity and a rich and creamy mounthfeel, reminiscent of strawberries and cream.

“I simply love Grenache Rosé - I love it for all the red fruit flavours, the strawberry, pomegranate, red berry fruit and for the last few years we’ve experimented with a single vineyard rosé from Grenache. So the intent was a delightful, softly pink, elegant fruit focused wine but it had to have structure and body and a long finish on the palate - all of this almost contrary to the fact that you press the grape gently and drain off just the freshest ‘free-run juice’ with little or no chance of getting tannins or structure from the skins! We are really thrilled with the result. The most daunting reality is we now have to somehow manage to do the same this vintage!” – Ken Forrester
