A vibrant purple colour with deep red hues. The wine shows fragrances of spicy oak vanilla notes, with rich dark fruity flavours of plum and blackberries. The palate is refined and elegant, with prominent mulberry and mix spice flavours supported by well-defined tannins, leaving a lingering finish.

Bright and clear with golden undertones. Delicate aromas of crisp green apples, orange peel and almonds opening up into red berry fruit. Rich, layered and elegantly dry palate reminiscent of fresh-baked brioche with notes of citrus and red berry fruit. Pleasant, lingering with a crisp and fresh aftertaste.

Colour: Medium red
Bouquet: Prunes, cherries, and ripe berry notes with hints of vanilla oak.
Taste: The palate is filled with ripe fruit and elegant tannins with a long aftertaste.

This uniquely South African cultivar is a cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsault. Pinotage produces excellent-quality wines under warm growing conditions.

These flavours follow on the palate with cassis and black cherries being supported by a subtle herbaceous note. An elegantly structured wine with fine tannins and beautifully integrated oak that lingers almost unendingly on the back palate

The Gypsy 2017

A very concentrated, focused blend with layers of deep fruit. The character is expectedly somewhat  “wild” a little brambly with hints of nutmeg, cinnamon, dark spices, with vanilla scents and a distinct, concentrated red-fruit focus. Great for laying down and keeping for at least ten years but already rewarding if allowed to breathe in a decanter.

Nederburg The Winemasters Carignan Grenache Rosé 2024

Aromas of raspberry, cherry, blueberry and pomegranate are also found on the crisp yet juicy palate. The almost chalky, dry grip of the pomegranate is such a lovely contrast to the bright fruitiness of the berries that it adds texture and breadth. Overall, the wine is more weighty and has a greater presence in the mouth than expected. It also helps to elongate and stretch out the dry finish while the flavour lingers long.
