The fruit is bold and fresh enough to counter three years of new French barrels, the French oak add a whiff of tobacco and barrel spice to the nose. The palate reveals lively plum and juicy berries with structured acidity. Earthiness and spicy from the oak with smokiness and integrated tannins.
