A perfect expression of this versatile varietal. Spice, plum, casis on the nose followed through with a rich an textured pallet. The new oak is playing a beautiful supportive roll adding to the vanilla spice flavors but still persevering the fruit, notes of spice and melba toast to be found in this well balanced wine.

Groote Post The Inheritance Merlot 2021

This 100% Merlot is a vibrant garnet red with a complex nose of ripe, red berry fruit. Cherries and raspberries are dominant on the nose, followed by an alluring hint of floral notes, vanilla, spice, and cedar notes. The nose follows through on the palate with bright red fruit followed by spice, forest floor and vanilla flavours. This medium-bodied wine was matured for 15 months in first-fill French oak barrels and has firm, yet refined tannins and a long, lingering aftertaste.

Amber with a burgundy undertone. Mulberries, vanilla, glazed cherries and dried fruit with cinnamon, cedar wood and mint in the background. Raspberries and cherry fruit cake, milky chocolate, vanilla and subtle hints of thyme. Smooth and full bodied with lingering fruit and well integrated oak.
