The wine is bursting with strawberries and cream. But it’s not just all fruit: there is a slight praline nuttiness in the background, which gives the wine some complexity. On the palate it is crisp and crunch and still full of red fruits. It is both easy drinking yet structured and serious enough to make a fine apéritif.

That’s what this wine is like when it hits the tastebuds: bold, forthright with a solid muscular squeeze. Nothing is overplayed though, because there is more than enough rich, ripe, succulent fruit to counteract that power and structure from its oaking. Blueberry, blackberry, juicy cherries and then dried herbs, cocoa darkness and vibrant spice - all balance out the tannin and firm frame. Pomegranate and red-fruited zip carry through on the palate, long and lightly spicy. The tannins are smooth yet firm with tactile grip, sharpened by a bright line of blood-orange freshness. Energetic, vivid, expressive.
