The fruit is bold and fresh enough to counter three years of new French barrels, the French oak add a whiff of tobacco and barrel spice to the nose. The palate reveals lively plum and juicy berries with structured acidity. Earthiness and spicy from the oak with smokiness and integrated tannins.
The nose is packed with appealing citrus and stone fruit flavours, hints of sweet melon and subtle vanilla oak. Generous mouthfeel with an excellent balance between fruit, sweetness and acidity. The finish is smooth with a hint of oak.
