Pale straw in colour a year after harvest. Aromas of exotic spice, figs, and grapefruit. Full, rich palate with round fruit, finishing with refreshing acidity.

in the vineyard : The Chamonix Estate in the Franschhoek Region, from two vineyard blocks planted in 2000, 400m above sea level.
about the harvest: Grapes are hand harvested separately at optimal ripeness between 23.5 – 24 Balling; whole bunch pressed at the cellar; fermentation in French oak barrels; 25% in new barrels; 25% fermented and matured in concrete eggs; 12 months, separately on the lees for 12 months; until final blending and bottling.
