Marianne Sauvignon Blanc 2022

A warm-climate Sauvignon Blanc giving a riper, bright yellow grape juice lends itself to a ‘Blanc-Fume’ style, a method often used in Bordeaux. A departure in style from the classic Cape Sauvignon makes for a unique wine. The result is a distinctive Sauvignon Blanc - a pretty nose of elder flower, yellow peach, lime and vanilla, with a broad, textured palate and coated acidity.

We are delighted with our interpretation of the Cape Blend. Deep red in colour, with delicious aromas of blue berries, dried cranberries, liquorice and dark chocolate. The palate is soft with tasty tannins and a smooth finish.

Marianne Floreal 2019

The wine shows a deep carmine red colour when poured into the glass. The nose is multilayered and complex, with top notes of black berry, cacao, star anise and burnt orange peal. With a swirl in the glass,aromas of blue berries, black currant vanilla pod and red peppercorns fill the nose.The palate is dense and silky, with a round, savoury mid and a refined,textured finish. A wine which can be enjoyed now in all its multilayered complexity, but also a wine which can definitely age gracefully. Santé!

The Desirade is our Bordeaux blend – inspired by our savoir-faire of grapevine growing and winemaking on the riverbanks of the Gironde in Bordeaux, home to the grape varieties of this blend, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The colour is deep and the nose multi-layered. A beautiful dark fruits first nose, prunes, blackberries and blackcurrant followed by hints of vanilla and liquorice. The palate is well structured with roundness and finesse from the Merlot and a long smooth finish from the Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Marianne Silhouette 2020 is a smashing red blend. The wine has a vivid crimson red colour when poured into the glass - with vibrant aromas of blueberries, raspberries, fresh red cherries, vanilla pod and rooibos tea on the nose. The palate is deliciously balanced and soft - full of fruit aromas and a lingering smooth, tasty finish. A medium bodied, fruit forward, elegant wine.

Marianne Germinal 2019

Germinal is the latest addition to our flagship range. It is our interpretation of a Rhône blend and an assemblage of our finest barrels of Shiraz, Mourvèdre and Grenache. The wine arrives into the glass with dark ruby red colour. The nose is complex with first notes of cacao beans, liquorice, black berry, raspberry and black cherry. The palate is smoothly structured with a big round mid and a refined, tasty finish. Definitely a wine that can age beautifully, but also ready to enjoy now in all its complexity and elegance.
