in the vineyard : Flagship Pinotage is harvested from bush vines at Klein Amos Kuil in Malmesbury. The vineyard is on a South facing slope, at an altitude of about 150 meters above sea level. Sea breezes cool the area at night. The soils on this farm are deep red Malmesbury shales. These are most suitable for dry land viticulture as they hold moisture well.
