in the vineyard : As the Valley lies less than 20 km from the False Bay coast; it is greatly affected by the cool south sea breezes, which prevail in the summer months. Winter brings on the moisture-laden northwest winds, which result in most of the Valleyâ€™s 750 mm of annual rainfall.
Soil: Deep red, decomposed Granite soil
Trellising: Hedged (Perold system)

about the harvest: This single vineyard were hand harvested and only the best bunches were selected at 24 B.
Yield: 8 tons/ha

in the cellar : The juice was fermented at 25-28 Degrees C. with regular pump over until dry. Only the free-run wine was used. After malolactic it was matured in new 300l French oak for 1 year.
