Golden Kaan Pinotage Rosé 2005

The Pinotage grapes underline the vibrant colour and fruitiness, but not so sweet on the palate, strawberry appearance and the nose shows exuberant fresh candy with hints of flower blossoms. The palate is fresh and fruity but not sweet. A well balanced wine that would be great for easy drinking in unlimited quantities.

An easy drinking wine best enjoyed with chicken, salads, paella, roast pork or asian dishes. Serving temperature 10 - 12ÂºC.

in the vineyard : Climate: Mediterranean - Moderate summer days with a cool afternoon breeze from the Atlantic Ocean. Rainfall of approximately 600 - 800 mm annually.
Soil: Hutton, clovelly - deep well drained soils.

in the cellar : The juice from the earliest Pinotage grapes was drained after sufficient colour has been extracted. It was then
inoculated with a pure yeast strain and fermented in stainless steel tanks at approximately 15Â° C. Then it was racked, fined and filtered before bottling.
