in the vineyard : The Weisser Riesling was harvested from 18 year old (Geisenheim clone 239) unirrigated vineyards, situated on decomposed granite soils, 300m above sea level.

about the harvest: The grapes were hand-harvested on 10th March 2004.

in the cellar : The Weisser Riesling was harvested at 22.4Â° Balling and tank fermented at 16Â°C. Once a perfect balance between fruit and acidity was reached, the fermentation was stopped to retain a hint of natural residual sugar.
