International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) 2006 - Bronze

ageing : The firm, yet subtle tannin structure will ensure that the wine will age well between 5 – 8 years after vintage.

in the vineyard : High rainfall and cold temperatures during winter. Moderate dry conditions towards ripening contributed to the luscious ripe berry fruit flavours. Drip irrigation used for water stress management.

about the harvest: Crop reduction and selective handpicking from 13 year-old double row bush vines at optimum ripeness increased fruit quality.
Hand picked grapes were destemmed and crushed before fermentation.
