On the nose, wild honey, pineapple and vanilla which explodes through onto the palate with a long limey finish.

ageing : Drinking well now, but will keep, with careful cellaring, for up to 5 years from vintage.
about the harvest: The grapes were hand-picked into small lug baskets and transported to Grangehurst Winery for destalking and crushing by well-known vintner, Jeremy Walker.
in the cellar : Harvested fully ripe. Vinified separately some in barrel - 25% of the Chenin, all of the Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc, in 2nd fill French oak for 4 months.
Bottling: 18 October 2005; 18,500 bottles released
