Beaumont Jackals River Chardonnay (Unwooded) 2006

Colour: Fresh green/yellow hues.
Nose: Very distinctively chardonnay with some intense green melon & peachy aromas backed up with a hint of spice.
Palate: It’s always a question of balance. This is slightly drier than 2005, but the acid is also lower so the palate stays fruity with the characteristic softness of the grape. Great drinking wine.
This is the second vintage of unwooded Chardonnay we have made and it has maintained excellent fruit quality. Slightly later harvesting has lead to a fuller palate with a longer finish.
