Dense ruby red. Sweet on entry, the juicy fruit flavours fan out on mid-palate: chewy ripe, succulent blackcurrant and cherry fruit blend harmoniously with the sweet vanilla’s and warm spice of French oak, finishing with a swirl of a dark chocolate.

Ideally suited for prime cuts of beef.

ageing : The wine has matured beautifully over the last 6 years, which maturity is well characterised in the wine. Further maturation is possible for the next 5 years or so, which will make it a unique wine to enjoy.

in the vineyard : Soil: Hutton
Yield: 7 ton per HA

about the harvest: Grapes picked at full ripeness, destalked and pumped into red wine tank.

in the cellar : NT112 yeast was in use. Pumping over was done 4 x per day. Wine fermented dry at 28º - 30ºC. Malolactic fermentation occurred in tank. Wine matured for 12 months in small French Oak Barrels.
