Bright, deep Ruby
Aroma: This wine has a fruit-driven aroma of plums and black cherries. It is distinctly complimented by Christmas cake b>and cedar. Hints of tobacco are also noticeable.
Palate: This juicy wine also shows the black cherry and plum flavours on the palate. Hints of vanilla compliment the fruity finish that lingers on the palate.
Impression: The three varietals each contribute unique flavours and character to the wine to make this a wonderful drinking experience. The wine will mature and soften beautifully over the next 5 years.

recommend enjoying this wine with a grilled Springbok fillet served with steamed vegetables. Another appetizing option would be to serve this wine with a roast Quail salad, marinated in a soy, honey and sweetchilli sauce.

in the vineyard : Climate:
Mediterranean with the rainfall  650mm per annum, the EE vineyards are located high up on the northern slopes of the Helderberg Mountain. This contribution imparts warmer fruit flavours to the wine. In summer, the vineyards close proximity to the Atlantic Ocean result in cool sea breezes that keeps temperatures lower, extending the ripening period.

Soil:
A diverse composition of soil and topography add complexity and an array of different characteristics to the wine.
