Bright, ruby red. Fragrant, ripe berry fruit nose with spicy backing. Second wave of aromatics bring more definition with blackcurrant, mulberry and dark cherry. Some smoky notes, from subtle oaking add to the complexity. A slight fynbos character slowly emerges in the background from the shiraz component. Supple and round on the palate yet lively mouthfeel. Amiable tannins lead into lively, long finish.
Drinks very well on it’s own while makes great partner to wide range of foods. Pastas, pizzas, roast chicken, winter soups and picnic fare.
