Landskroon Morio Muscat Jerepico 1999

Delicious grapey flavours and bouquet. Some nutty overtones, lengthy fine finish. Further bottle maturation is recommended. The 1995 vintage was the first Cape fortified dessert wine made from Morio Muscat.

in the cellar : Grapes were harvested between 26 - 28ºB, destalked and transferred to a tank press where it was exposed to skin contact for a period of 12 hours. Juice and skins were then separated and the juice pumped to a fermentation tank where yeast was added. After fermenting down 5ºB, 96 vol% wine spirit was added whereby any further fermentation was arrested. The wine was bottled after protein and tartrate stabilization.
