about the harvest: Vintage 2005 has proved to be a vintage of rich, refined and fruit driven wines. Ripening about one month later than elsewhere in the Cape their grapes play a decisive role in the Bouchard Finlayson range of white wines. This late ripening facilitates an added opportunity at the winery in extending its pressing season for another two weeks! The late ripening of these grapes is due to the vineyard being located between two mountains which reduce the daylight length through the summer.
