in the cellar : The vineyard, with its gentle slope to the South, is well situated to produce fully ripened Shiraz grapes. Helathy grapes were harvested yielding 9.6 tons per hectare which resulted in a full bodied, richly flavoured and elegantly balanced wine with lots of fruit and a lingering aftertaste.
The grapes were left on the skins for approximately one week after fermentation, before pressing. The wine was matured for 6 months with new French and American Oak.
A rich red wine with a smokey interesting character. Compliments all meat and cheese dishes.
