A lovely example of a cool climate Merlot. This wine has a lovely fresh purple, red colour. On the palate you will find ripe raspberries, mulberries and wood spice with an element of plum, followed by fruit reminiscent of dark red cherries. A well integrated acid keeps the fruit flavours focused and together. The wine has a soft smooth entry with a lovely medium bodied palate weight, fruit flavours coating the entire mouth. This progresses to a very elegant finish with the most subtle of tannins following through. This wine will drink well until 2012.
