Ashton Kelder Shiraz Reserve 2006

2009 Michelangelo International Wine Awards - Gold medal
2009 Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show - Bronze medal (73/100)

This is a proud wine that stands in a class of its own. Rich flavours of tobacco, jammy fruit and that typical Shiraz spice develop in the glass to a complex mix of flavours that support the intense oak bouquet, the result of 14 months in all new French oak barrels. The palate is a mix of berry flavors which is complimented by the full soft tannins.

The body of the wine and fruity, lingering smokiness will enhance a hearty Provencal lamb or chicken dish.
