in the vineyard : The grapes were hand-picked from three sites on the same estate. All three components came from low yielding trellised vineyards. Decomposed granite and overlying clay soils with good water hold potential.

about the harvest: The Shiraz was picked at optimum ripeness of 26.5º.

in the cellar : Natural co-fermentation between Shiraz and Mourvèdre. The Viognier fermented separately in a 2nd fill French oak barrels. The wines were blended after primary fermentation and underwent malolactic fermentation in 2nd and 3rd fill French barrels. Further maturation in 90% new French oak and 10% new American oak for a period of 24 months.
