Bartho Eksteen Sauvignon Blanc 1999

A wine with a balance of tropical fruit and herbaceous fruit characters. The palate is dry, medium to high in acid with good complexity and a long finish. "I don’t enjoy or feel that Sauvignon Blanc suits a lot of oak. I prefer that Sauvignon Blanc has a complexity brought about by the inclusion of oak without people being able to pinpoint it". This style is generally enjoyed in its youth, whilst the fruit aromatics are at their peak and will show for up to three years.
