in the vineyard : The 2006 season had a dry, early winter but with enough late rain to stimulate good growth. Suckering and green harvesting contributed to quality grapes. A dry summer during harvest saw very healthy grapes and few problems with diseases were epxerienced. Irrigation practices went well and enough water was available.

about the harvest: Left on the vines to fully ripen, the grapes were handpicked and sorted in the vineyards.
