in the vineyard : These grapes come from a younger block, 3.6 hectares or 9 acres, of vines planted in 2000. These vines show tremendous potential as the soft ripe tannins and accessible fruit appeal to the pallet.

in the cellar : With the addition of Shiraz to the farm, we now have a wine showing enormous potential to mature into a leading label for the Beau Joubert portfolio. Harvesting this young block of vines for the 4th year, it is showing remarkable potential. This wine, made along the lines of a Rhone style Syrah, shows the initial impression of sweet cassis and juicy plums and finishes with a spicy flair! This is a delicious, easy drinking and well structured wine that pairs excellently with food, or it can be enjoyed on its own.
