MONT DU TOIT 2002
A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Shiraz,reminiscent of the 2001 but with an elegant finish. Berries,plums, tobacco flavours and the smell of violets can be detected. Alcohol is well integrated, the tannins well balanced and the aftertaste long. Though drinkable now, can keep for at least five years. Matured in small oak barrels for about 23 months, bottled in February 2003. 4000 cases produced. 2001 4,5 (out of possible 5) * in John Platter South African Wines 2004 (tasted by John Platter himself)
