Helderkruin Chardonnay 1998

Lighter style of Chardonnay, medium bodied with some citrus flavours and a hint of butterscotch. Very subtle wood.
SUGGESTED FOOD: Enjoy with most red and white meat dishes, which are not overpowerlingly spiced.

VINEYARDS: 13 Years old. Planted on Western slopes of farm. Trained on 4 wire trellis system for maximum sunlight and seabreeze. 2,61 hectare.

WINEMAKING: 50% fermented in new American/French Oak barrels for three weeks and blended with the rest, which fermented in stainless steel to preserve the fruit flavours.
