ageing : Drink now or keep for the next 5 years.

in the vineyard : The Classic is a 'Bordeaux style blend' and is made from vineyards from our Vrede en Lust farm on the slopes of the Simonsberg.

The result is an elegant, food friendly, noble blend that is accessible upon release and with the capacity to improve and mature over the years.

This wine was originally prepared as our Reserve '05.

in the cellar : The grapes are fermented seperately in stainless steel tanks. After pressing the wine underwent malolactic fermentation. The wine was then carefully blended and matured for 12 months in 225L French oak barrels (25% new). Minimum fining followed and was bottled without any filtration. The wine was bottle matured for a further 18 months before release.

Available in 750ml under cork and 375ml under Stelvin.
