The grapes were sourced from bush vines and low trellised vineyards in the Stellenbosch, Paarl and Worcester areas, ranging in age from 12 to 27 years. The vineyards are located at altitudes of 50-150m above sea level. Some of the vineyards grow in dryland conditions while others receive supplementary irrigation. All the vines were grafted on Phylloxera resistant rootstocks. Varying from R99, R110 and rootstocks varying from R101-104.

The grapes were harvested by hand during February and March at 24º balling.

in the cellar : 

The juice was fermented on the skins for four days, and after pressing fermentation continues in stained steel tanks. Upon completion of malolactic fermentation, 20% of the wine matured in stainless steel tanks with French oak staves and the balance received no maturation.
