Kumkani Sauvignon Blanc / Semillon 2009

Expressive ripe Sauvignon Blanc characters on the nose, good follow through on the palate. The Semillon is an excellent partner, adding to the complexity and multi-layered palate with an excellent finish.

This wine can be enjoyed on its own, or with seafood or roasted chicken.

in the vineyard : Sauvignon Blanc sourced from the Stellenbosch region, Semillon from the Darling region.

about the harvest: The fruit was harvested partially during the night to escape the very warm summer days in February.

in the cellar : Both components were fermented in stainless steel tanks for 14 days 13 - 15° Celsius. Wine was kept on its fine lees for 3 months.
