Misty Mountains Estate Shiraz 2009

Radiant, ripe, cherry-red describes the colour and its obvious vibrancy. Peppery notes combine with ripe berry fruit on the nose. On taste the wine shows great elegance and is already quite accessible. It has a harmonious acid which combines well with the tannins to create an utterly drinkable wine.

Enjoy by the glass or partner with typical Cape dishes like bobotie.

in the cellar : All our red wines undergo malolactic fermentation while in new French oak vats. This secondary fermentation in which malic acid is converted into lactic acid softens the acidity of the wine and once complete adds to its complexity and stability. Throughout this process the balancing of the suppleness index is applied and is of the utmost importance to the end result.
