The white wines of Waterford Estate are single vineyard wines while the red wines are made and blended to reflect the terroir of the Estate. The Waterford label was launched in 1998 with a Cabernet Sauvignon and a Sauvignon Blanc. The Chardonnay was added a year later. In 2004 the vineyards and property was registered as an estate and the labels were changed to Waterford Estate. Bright, pale straw colour. Subtle hints of vanilla oak and struck flint on the nose, giving way to lime and tangerine notes. Very crisp, fresh palate with pronounced quince and lemon flavours backed up by subtle richness. Long, clean, mineral finish.
