in the vineyard : Pinotage grapes are planted at high altitude on two different aspects, namely: warmer north facing and cooler south-east facing soils.

about the harvest: Grapes are picked at optimum ripeness.

in the cellar : Pinotage grapes are fermented in open tanks and the cap is punched down. Matured in French oak barrels for only 12 months. 20% new barrels are used with an even proportion of second and third fill barrels to enhance the wood and fruit balance.
