CWG Teen die Hoog Shiraz 2006

FOR SALE AT THE GUILD ACTION

The wine was selected from Shiraz growing "Against the Hill" (translate direct: "Teen die Hoog"). This steep area, a south eastern facing red slate slope, was given the name "Teen die Hoog" by the workers on the farm many generations ago. On this specific red slate soil type the vines produce smaller berries with intense shiraz fruit. This is a selection of the three best barrels. The wine has sniffs of roast meat with an explosion of ripe plum and spicy fynbos flavours.
